Introduction

TotalYacht ("we", "us", "our") operates the TotalYacht web application and the TotalYacht MLS Assistant browser extension. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a TotalYacht account, we collect your name, email address, and brokerage information. This is used to authenticate you and associate your deal rooms with your account.

Listing Data

Vessel details, photos, documents, disclosures, and other listing content you enter into TotalYacht is stored on our servers to power your deal rooms. This data is only shared with parties you explicitly grant access to (buyers, sellers).

Browser Extension

The TotalYacht MLS Assistant extension stores your authentication token and field mapping profiles locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. The extension communicates only with the TotalYacht server to retrieve your listing data. It does not collect browsing history, track your activity on other websites, or send any data to third parties.

Field mappings (the association between your listing fields and MLS form fields) are stored entirely in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the TotalYacht platform
• To authenticate you in the web application and browser extension
• To display your listing data in deal rooms you create
• To enable the browser extension to populate MLS forms with your listing data

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers using MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest. Authentication tokens are generated using industry-standard cryptographic methods. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Listing data is shared only with buyers and sellers you explicitly invite to your deal rooms, subject to the visibility controls you configure.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. You can remove the browser extension and its locally stored data at any time through your browser's extension management.
